An Introduction to Kaber Village Hall

Kaber is a beautiful community in the Upper Eden Valley in Cumbria.

Its Village Hall is the Old Village School, first built by a group of local Landowners and farmers sometime prior to 1689.Banner-TransparentBG-Teal

Today, the Village Hall provides a community hub and location for a wide variety of activities, from regular craft clubs, to musical nights, games evenings and charity fundraising.

This web site aims to help you find out about events, or arrange to hire the hall for your own events, or just helping out.

Organisation

The hall is still owned by the Kaber Education Trust, reflecting its original purpose.  Today it is operated by a Working Group (appointed by the Charity Trustees) with the help of residents of Kaber Village via Kaber Village Hall Trust (also a charity). We have a set of key-holders who can provide access, and secure the premises.
